I'm Warren Snow. I design and make heirloom quality furniture. I specialize in marquetry and inlay using a variety of domestic and exotic woods. Marquetry is the art of creating pictures with wood, and is a dominant element in many of my designs. I employ a variety of wood species and grains with shading to create images with realism and depth.

My work is produced from a studio at my home near Warrenton, Virginia. Although Snow Woodworks began as a business in 2001, I've maintained a life long interest in woodworking.

The portfolio section of this website shows a variety of projects I've designed and made. The pictures are not meant to be a catalog from which you order these specific pieces, although you are welcome to do so. Instead, they are presented as a collection of special furniture items, to help you form ideas about the unique piece I can create for you. Pay particular attention to the variety of woods used, combinations of contrasting woods used within a piece, and the simple beauty that results from carefully matched wood grains. A special furniture piece or built-in cabinetry can be the catalyst to transform an ordinary space into the warmest, most inviting room in your home.
